Amin Mazloom is responsible for strategic and operational leadership involving all aspects of bioinformatics and software development across the company’s innovation portfolio. He oversees R&D’s scientific computing cloud infrastructure and Dev/Ops activities, as well as corporate IT systems and services.
Dr. Mazloom is a visionary bioinformatics leader with over a decade of experience in building and leading bioinformatics organizations and R&D initiatives. Previous roles include vice president of Bioinformatics and Software at ProdermIQ, a start-up focused on the microbiome, and Director of Bioinformatics at Sequenom, where the first NIPT was introduced to the market.
Dr. Mazloom did a post-Doctoral fellowship in Computational Genetics and System Biology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering.
